Sending your first child off to college is an educational experience for a parent. You didn’t know there were so many things to learn about taking SATs and ACTs, financial aid, the mere existence of FAFSA and where to go to find student loans. Our high school guidance office was not very helpful to be quite honest. We had to learn on our own and I have to admit the colleges themselves were one of the best sources of information. The Internet was there too. I did some searching for the different types of loans and found some basic info. One such website is premierestudentloans.com. Now that I have been through the whole process three times, I think its a good idea to do some serious shopping around if you are just beginning the process.
